No performance evaluation for legislators?

An article in today's Indystar pointed out the Indiana General Assembly is considering a bill that will give elected officials an automatic pay hike, but state employees must face performance reviews to get a pay increase.

The Senate's President Pro Tempore was quoted in the article as saying "Unlike rank-and-file employees there is no way to do performance reviews and have merit pay for elected officials."  Really?

Elections are performance reviews for elected officials.

Plain & Simple:  If you don't like the performance of your legislator and feel the raise they will be granted by this legislation is undeserved, than work to vote them out!  The voters are responsible for the performance review of elected officials.  Exercise your management skills...GET OUT AND VOTE.
